Floating head heat exchanger

The floating head heat exchanger has only one end of the tube sheets fixed to the shell, while the other end can move freely relative to the shell, known as the floating head. The floating head consists of a floating tube sheet, a hook ring, and a floating head cover, and is a detachable connection, allowing the tube bundle to be withdrawn from the shell. The thermal deformation of the tube bundle and the shell is not constrained, therefore no thermal stress is generated. Its advantages include easy cleaning between and inside the tubes, no thermal stress, and it is suitable for situations where there is a large temperature difference between the shell and the tube bundle walls, or where the shell-side medium is prone to fouling....
